Welcome to Noted
These Terms of Service govern your use of Noted, including our desktop software, mobile application, and website (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using Noted, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
What Noted Does
Noted is an AI-powered meeting and lecture assistant. The desktop software captures system audio and, optionally, microphone input from your device to generate real-time notes, transcripts, and AI-powered responses during meetings and lectures. Noted also offers a mobile app and website where you can review, search, and manage your notes and recordings.
Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. All activity under your account is your responsibility. You must be at least 13 years old to use Noted, and if you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use Noted in compliance with all applicable laws. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of Noted's recording features complies with the laws of your jurisdiction, including any laws that require consent from all parties before recording a conversation. Noted provides the tool — you are responsible for how you use it. You may not use the Service to engage in illegal surveillance, harassment, or any activity that violates the rights of others.
Intellectual Property
All content you create through Noted — your notes, transcripts, and recordings — belongs to you. Noted does not claim ownership over any user-generated content. However, by using the Service, you grant Noted a limited license to process your content solely to provide and improve the features of the Service. Noted's software, branding, design, and underlying technology are the property of Noted and are protected by intellectual property laws.
Subscriptions and Payments
Noted offers Free, Pro ($12/month), and Team ($29/month) plans. Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis unless canceled. You may cancel at any time, and your access to paid features will continue through the end of your current billing cycle. Noted reserves the right to adjust pricing with reasonable notice to existing subscribers.
Data Export and Portability
You can export your notes, transcripts, and calendar data to third-party platforms such as Notion and Google Drive at any time. If you choose to delete your account, your data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, subject to any legal retention requirements.
Service Availability
Noted is provided "as is." We strive to keep the Service reliable and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. Where possible, we will provide advance notice of significant changes.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Noted and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, lost data, missed information during recordings, or any consequences of relying on AI-generated notes or responses. Our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding any claim.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Noted if you violate these terms or use the Service in a way that harms other users or the integrity of the platform. You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email. Your continued use of Noted after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
